 The eastern U.S. is hot, with temperatures plummeting in the 80s over the weekend in big cities.

Forecast predictions for the first 90-degree temperature readings are based on more than 30 years of data from 1991 to 2020, according to AccuWeather.

It also said temperatures could reach 100 degrees in Georgia and South Carolina.

However, as temperatures begin to rise, even north of Maine, humidity levels are also expected to rise.
